FEE ANATOMY
The $0 delivery fee is not a $0 checkout
One line went to zero. The rest may still be there.
"$0 delivery fee" means exactly one line item went to zero. It does not mean the order has no other costs. [1][2]
What may remain:
- A higher in-app menu price than ordering direct.
- A service fee. A promotion may not reduce it. [1][2]
- A small-order fee if the basket is below the app's threshold. [1]
- Applicable tax and the tip you choose.
The offer may also require an eligible restaurant and the minimum subtotal shown in the app. [2] That minimum can turn a $9 bowl into a larger cart if you add items just to qualify.

The exact mix varies by platform, restaurant, market, membership, demand, and order size. The final checkout—not the "$0 delivery" badge—is the number to compare with pickup.
Free delivery is a discount on one line, not the whole receipt.
One fee went to zero. The others may still be there.
